Related Product Information for IFNA2 recombinant protein
IFNA2 (Interferon Alpha 2) is a Protein Coding gene. This gene is a member of the alpha interferon gene cluster on chromosome 9. The encoded protein is a cytokine produced in response to viral infection. Type I Interferons (IFNs) are well-known cytokines that exert antiviral activity, antitumor activity, and immunomodulatory effects. Interferon tau (IFNT), a type I IFN similar to alpha IFNs (IFNA), is the pregnancy recognition signal produced by the ruminant conceptus. Among the IFN-alpha genes, a total of 28 different sequence variants have been described. The three principal subtypes of IFNalpha-2 are designated alpha-2a, alpha-2b, and alpha-2c. IFNalpha-2b is being the predominant allele while IFNalpha-2a is less predominant and IFNalpha-2c only a minor allelic variant.

Product Notes
The IFNA2 ifna2 (Catalog #AAA257444) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Yeast and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 165aa. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Cys24-Glu1 88. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interferon alpha 2/IFNA2, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
