Biological Significance
Factor IX is a vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein produced in the liver. Plasma concentration of F.IX is normally around 5 ug/ml (87 nM) in plasma. The biological importance of F.IX is demonstrated in Haemophilia B an X-linked congenital bleeding disease resulting from a quantitative or qualitative defect in F.IX function.
Biohazard Information
Donor samples were tested and found to be negative for Anti-HIV1/2, Anti-HTLV I & II, HBsAg, Anti-HCV, Syphilis, HBC Ab, HIV-1 p24 Ag or HIV-1 RNA, HCV RNA and HBV RNA. Nonetheless caution should be used when handling this material as there is a margin of error in all tests. Donors were also screened for CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease).

Product Notes
The F9 f9 (Catalog #AAA75254) is a Native Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Factor IX, Native Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
