Principle of the Assay: After extraction and derivatization Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is quantitatively determined by ELISA. The competitive ELISA uses the m icrotiter plate format. The antigen is bound to the solid phase of the microtiter plate. The derivatized analyte concentrations of the standards, controls and samples and the solid phase bound analyte compete for a fixed number of antiserum binding sites. When the system is in equilibrium, free antigen and free antigen-antibody complexes are removed by' washing. The antibody bound to the solid phase is detected by an anti-rabbit IgG-peroxidase conjugate using TMB as a substrate. The reaction is monitored at 450 nm. Quantification of unknown samples is ach ieved by comparing their absorbance with a standard curve prepared with known standards.
Intended Uses: Enzyme Immunoassay for the quantitative determ ination of Gamma -aminobutyric acid (GABA) in urine and various biological samples.

Product Notes
The Human GABA bm-lgg-1 (Catalog #AAA72601) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA72601 ELISA Kit recognizes Human GABA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GABA, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
